My thanks will always be to Joli for introducing me to this poet, artist and in a way, philosopher, Khalil Gibran.
The Prophet is his most famous work and it is a thing of beauty.
To even be mentioned that some things I have written are a reminded of his style, is beyond an honour, perhaps too much of a praise, and while he is incomparably more refined, I do see why I like him so much.
I can fall asleep listening to his words being read to me and I will sleep well.
This is the Thirwell remix of 'Wish', a song I used to mosh to and even got myself a good scar for, and which is infinitely superior to the original, imo.
I remember when I actually paid money for this album, and gladly so, long before the days of file sharing.
The whole work is quite a unique and at the time, progressive example of industrial-tech-rock.
Even now, after listening to it for the first time in a few years, it still competes with the current crop.
At over nine minutes, it's a tour de force of heavy beats and guitars, underlaid with a distinct techno flavour, resulting in a wall of noise that can take some getting used to...

Don't know Thirwel but imo Trent Reznor is a master at mix, I love everything he has ever done and never tire of his music.
Thanks for the link, always looking for great music ....

That's one of my favorite books. I have been a huge fan for as long as I can remember, and have quoted him in my journal here many times.
It's good to know there are others on Vampire Rave that appreciate the amazing work he gave to this world.
That book, "The Prophet" contains a passage for nearly any instance of life- and it's why I have given it as a wedding gift several times :)
